Library rules & Regulation
- All users must deposit bags and belongings at the baggage counter and sign the entry register.
- Carrying an ID card is mandatory for library access.
- Only reading materials and library books for return/renewal are allowed inside.
- Food and beverages are strictly prohibited.
- Maintain silence; phone use should be avoided.
- Books must be handled with care; marking or damaging books will attract penalties.
- Books removed from shelves must be left on the table—users should not re-shelve them.
- Personal belongings such as laptops, phones, chargers, earphones, and water bottles should not be left unattended.
- Books cannot be issued on someone else’s ID.
- Users proceeding on leave/deputation/training must return all borrowed books beforehand.
- Visitors/guests may use the library only with prior permission from the Librarian.
- The library may recall any issued material at any time.
- Users are encouraged to seek assistance from library staff whenever required.
- Any violation of rules may lead to suspension of borrowing privileges.
- The library premises are under CCTV surveillance.
- Misbehaviour or abuse of staff will result in disciplinary action, reported to the Disciplinary Committee.
