NSHM Knowledge Campus, Durgapur, is a renowned educational institution in India that has been shaping young minds since its establishment in 1996. Situated on a sprawling 32-acre campus, this knowledge hub offers a serene environment away from the chaos of the city, surrounded by lush green landscapes. Affiliated to MAKAUT, NSHM Knowledge Campus Durgapur is recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
The primary goal of NSHM Knowledge Campus, Durgapur, is to provide students with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in their chosen careers and make a positive impact on society. The institution aims to foster holistic development, both academically and professionally, through its comprehensive programs.

Life Skills School
The 6 life skills schools conduct numerous short-term programmes and organize co-curricular activities to hone and nurture talent and other skills with the aim of contributing towards the holistic development of students. The schools are:
Infrastructure
The modern infrastructure at NSHM Knowledge Campus provides state-of-the-art facilities for students to engage in research and practical learning experiences. These facilities include well-equipped laboratories, libraries with extensive resources, smart classrooms, and collaborative spaces for students to work on projects. The optometry lab, equipped with the latest diagnostic tools and equipment, allows students to gain hands-on experience in eye care. The hospitality and hotel management department provides laboratories, suite rooms with front Office labs, a food and beverage service lab, a Bakery and Confectionery lab, and also a basic training kitchen to hone students’ skills in the hospitality industry and to provide a realistic learning environment.
Faculty
The NSHM Knowledge Campus Durgapur is known for its excellent academic team and faculty members who possess extensive industrial expertise. These professors are consistently available to support their students both on and off campus at all times.
To broaden the horizons of its students, the faculties of Durgapur have formed strategic partnerships with renowned organizations such as CONFAB, AICTE-EduSkills, International Air Transport Association (IATA), Canada, Optometry Council of India, Ritz-Carlton, and BoPT (Eastern Region), Indian Nursing Council among others. These collaborations open doors to numerous global opportunities for students. Students can participate in international conferences, attend lecture series and live case studies, engage in workshops, and benefit from faculty exchanges. These collaborations also foster an entrepreneurial mindset among students, encouraging them to become leaders through entrepreneurship.
The faculty also organizes national-level seminars, webinars, and workshops to bridge the gap between technical advancements and the existing curriculum. The campus facilitates live demonstrations, industrial tours, and vocational training conducted by local public sector undertakings (PSUs) and prominent private enterprises. Additionally, NSHM serves as the Office of the Board of Practical Training (BoPT) Extension Centre, allowing students to participate in the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme.
Through the AICTE-EduSkills Collaboration, NSHM students have access to over 100 virtual internship opportunities in high-demand courses such as AWS Cloud, Juniper, Red Hat, Cyber Security, and more. This gives students a chance to gain practical exposure and enhance their skill set, making them industry-ready.
Placement
To ensure a smooth transition into the professional world, NSHM has set up a dedicated cell for Corporate Relations and Talent Transfer (CRTT). This cell helps students with training and development for employment, entrepreneurship, and higher studies/research in world-class institutions. The CRTT plays a vital role in bridging the gap between students and the corporate world, equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in the competitive job market. NSHM’s esteemed placement partners, including renowned companies like Amazon, Deloitte, Zee Ltd., Coca-Cola, Godrej, Radisson, Nestle, and Emirates, further enhance the employability prospects for NSHM students.
Alumni Connect
NSHM has an alumni strength of 35,000. The Alumni Connect team creates networking opportunities for present students with alumni members which allow them to benefit from the skills and experiences of NSHM’s former graduates who willingly offer their expertise. Often alumni members support students in job placements and help in launching their careers.
