Durga is a concept, of being invincible in the face of adversity, and of being a nurturer. This Durga is formless like the Aatma, Shakti, Bhakti and Prakriti. Durga is to become the vanquisher of all obstacles coming in the way, rising up, and leading us to channel that deep strength within to strengthen others. Every living being is blessed with Dasabhuja, the ten potentials as hands to create goodness, conquer the vices, promote universal peace and prosperity, thereby contributing to an inclusive tomorrow. Thus, NSHM School of Life Skills celebrates the Dasabhuja in each one of us in the run-up to Bengal’s biggest festival. Stay tuned for more details.

Rules & Regulation:
Alpana Competition: (Student and Internal Staff)
- The theme for the event is Durga & Dasabhuja.
- Last date of registration & submission is 2nd October,2020.
- To register, send an email to [email protected] with your name, phone no, department name & mail id, Campus and mention the event name.
- Maximum seven colours allowed.
- You can draw it on a chart paper, floor or drawing page.
- You have to scan the page or take a picture of it and send in .jpeg format to us at [email protected]
Lights, Camera, Action:(Student)
- The theme for the event is Durga & Dasabhuja.
- Last date of registration & submission is 2nd October,2020.
- To register, send an email to [email protected] with your name, phone no, department name & mail id, Campus and mention the event name.
- Mono-acting
- The script duration or the act duration should not exceed more than 10 mins.
- You have to record the video in the landscape mode. You have to send the videos to us at [email protected] .
- Participants are free to expose any talent as long as it is presentable and does not require props.
Photo-Story (Mosaic):(Student)
- The theme for the event is “Durga Puja”
- Last date of registration & submission is 2nd October,2020.
- To register, send an email to [email protected] with your name, phone no, department name & mail id, Campus and mention the event name.
- Photos can be cropped, resized and permissible for colour correction.
- Duration of the video should not exceed 3 mins and the file sizes should not exceed 25 MB.
- Photo-Story is to be submitted to us by mail at [email protected].
Pujo’r Shaaj:(Student)
- The theme for the event is “Durga Puja – Astami Shaaj”.
- Last date of registration & submission is 2nd October,2020.
- To register, send an email to [email protected] with your name, phone no, department name & mail id, Campus and mention the event name.
- You have to send 3 photos ( Left-Right Profile and one full length photo) or a video (you walking toward the camera and going back).
- Do not use any app software to click the photo as well as for edit, then it will get rejected.
- You are not allowed to wear any western dress, only traditional dress.
Painting Competition:(Student)
- The theme for the event is Durga Pujo.
- Last date of registration & submission is 2nd October,2020.
- To register, send an email to [email protected] with your name, phone no, department name & mail id, Campus and mention the event name.
- No limitation in use of colours.
- You can draw it on a chart paper or A3 drawing.
- You have to send clicks in two stages a) during the time of pencil sketch and b) during the time when filling it with colours.
- You have scan to the page or take a picture of it and send in .jpeg format to us at [email protected].
Pujo’r Khabar:(Parents and Internal Staff)
- The theme for the event is Durga Puja or Dasabhuja.
- Last date of registration & submission is 2nd October,2020.
- To register, send an email to [email protected] with your name, phone no, department name & mail id, Campus and mention the event name.
- You can send us a Video of the making or you have to send clicks in two stages a) with the ingredients and cooking process and b) The final presentation of the dish.
- Can be Veg or Non-Veg and Sweet or Savoury.
